LEGACY

 Of A Master Craftsman

The studio aims to master the art and craft of furniture making, drawing influence from traditional and contemporary design. Using traditional processes coupled with the innovation of present technology, the team at Alby Johnston Studio create exquisite, stand out pieces.

The love of working with trees and timber

constantly inspires us to celebrate they're

honest character and inherent qualities.

Embellished with breath taking details such as bronze components, secret compartments, carving, curved joinery and guilding, the finished result is a journey in material sensitivity.

It is the culmination of knowledge, tradition and artisanship that is kept alive and practiced, becoming:

CREATION PROCESS

              Concept Development

                             and Design

Starting with an initial brief, the framework to bring concept design into fruition is an enjoyable, highly considered process that honors and reflects your individual expression. By either sharing your particular vision with us or allowing us to guide you on an immersive journey of furniture wonderment, we will bring delight and charm from within our Byron Bay Studio.
By carefully listening to your exact requirements for  function, material selection, aesthetic and other parts of the brief, we undertake a thorough creative process to develop design resolution using physical scale modeling, 3D computer modeling, prototypes and/or full size mock-ups.

MAKING PROCESS

          Delivery and Installation

To achieve the desired result, every step is deemed critical and carefully executed to make up the creation process.
We believe our clients are a pivotal part of the creative process and we invite you to be part of the journey, either via studio visits (if practical), as well as updates through photos and videos.

Whether you are a local or international client the delivery of completed work to your door is an integral last step that we supervise and take personal care in. We oversee the safe packing and handling of the finest of works, to be freighted to anywhere in the world. If installation is necessary we will personally undertake, or arrange for an accredited installer, to secure the work in its place.
